About Our Calgary TMD/TMJ Treatment

Temporomandibular joint disorders are a common condition that affects the joint responsible for holding your jaws together and allowing them to operate properly. When a patient experiences a temporomandibular joint disorder, however, these joints cannot properly function, resulting in lockjaw, discomfort, and pain. Most TMD sufferers also experience unconscious clenching and grinding while sleeping, resulting in damage to their smile.

When it comes to reducing the symptoms, discomfort, and pain caused by temporomandibular joint disorders, our TMJ therapy in Calgary has various benefits, including:

  • TMJ Therapy reduces the pain and discomfort a patient experiences.
  • TMJ Treatment can decrease a patient’s risk of damaging their teeth.
  • TMJ Therapy reduces unconscious clenching and grinding.
  • TMJ Treatment can decrease the likelihood that more invasive and costly treatments are needed down the road.
